Jaroslav Baran

Jaroslav Baran has been commissioned to write and animate a short film for the “Breaking Down Walls” event.

Jaroslav is one of the key figures in Slovak animation. During his 47 years of work in the animation industry, he has made more than 200 short films, and has trained many talented students, including Oscar nominees and some of the best contemporary animators in the world. His work is currently divided between making children’s films for Slovak television, advertising films for clients, and continuing to teach the next generation of animators.
